Gilliam's Film Biography
Posted by nszyngie on Feb 19, 2004
Brazil (1985), The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1989), The Fisher King (1991), Twelve Monkeys (1995) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998). I also believe he co-directed The Holy Grail: Monthy Pyton and the Quest for the Holy Grail, and did Jabberwocky, another Python film. He is definitely one of my favourite directors.

I think Time Bandits, The Baron Munchausen and Brasil are generally seen as a kind of loose "trilogy" with similar themes and ideas.

If you like Terry Gilliam, check out Lost In La Mancha, a documentary about his tragic, failed attempt to make a movie about Don Quixote.

Good stuff....and of course Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is so much fun that the U in the middle bursts out creamy ejaculate all over the F and N.

Is Lost in La Mancha available to rent, or is it a cinema film? I have a book that outlined this tradegy, and would love to see the film

It's available to rent. I saw it at queen video the other day actually, but was out, so missed out on it.

Time Bandits sounds very similar to a litle movie I like to call "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"

yeah, clearly William and Teddy got their idea from this Gilliam classic.
