Yeah guy,
sounds like a good idea. But maybe it would only be required if the post reaches a certain length. Is it possible to script something that would insert the quick links after say, 10 posts are made?
Actually, it shouldn't matter, cause if someone posts a long ass post, then it is a long way to the top, and link would be nice . . . glad to see I can answer my own questions aloud . .

So, yes - I vote under the "it's a good idea" category

very helpful...and could you also put in an option to edit your posts?

And if I want to put an image up for hilarious purposes, not a link, but the actual image, what HTML do I put in?

You managed to it for my NBA post....so we have the technology

something that has confused/bugged me is the fact that the '# forum posts' link doesn't show the original topic message..

would it be really hard to make that link show the original post + the forum posts?

I actually don't like the idea of people being able to edit forum posts. It's actually pretty atypical. Now, if you want a two step process that forces you to review what you've typed, that's fine.

But I'd prefer that if you make some error you really want undone, you go through me, I'd like to leave what's said as what's said, so people can't change things and then make denials.

As for images, I'll look at it tonight. There was something preventing it, but I might be able to fix it now.

When you goto a forum, the Article title is at the top.

Now, do you mean to add the Article Description? Or the full article Body at the top?

Yeah.

You'd have to be a real dick to go back and change something you wrote...

Right Katie?

maybe the full body article at the top of the forum posts for it?

for a while when i first started looking at this site i was constantly confused because i wasn't reading the original article, just the replies to it..

i thought you were all insane.

i guess once you learn how to use the forums, it's not such a big deal..

I suppose I could be more explicit at the top. Say "Forum Posts for Such and Such" Newline "Read Original Article" as a link.

Don't want to really clutter the forum with the original post itself.
